It is the world's most watched league and the most lucrative - attracting the top players from all over the globe. Hard to believe then that the first ball kicked in the Premier League was as relatively recently as 15th August 1992.
The 1980s saw a nadir in English football. Stadiums were crumbling and hooliganism was rife. English teams were banned from Europe following the death of 39 fans at Heysel Stadium in Belgium ahead of Liverpool's European Cup Final against Juventus in 1985. Few of the world's top players would even contemplate plying their trade in England.

The perils of Premier League football in Indonesia..
Thursday, March 03, 2011
by Nick Guoth
At a time when the FFA have chosen to contract the Hyundai A-League, just north of the Arafura Sea everything appears to be on the go. In Indonesia there are now two different major competitions and Australians are flocking there in numbers - drawn in by lucrative salaries.Yet there are perils many do not understand and recent articles in the region's newspapers and blogs show that all is not in harmony in our closest northern neighbour.

Nurdin halid ,,The Fallen..should be fall from right now..
The Fallen, the powerful enemy from the autobots in box office movie "The Transformer" famously have known by the movie lovers. Reflecting to the Indonesian football, the existing of Nurdin Halid's regime in PSSI (Indonesia FA) could be referred as The Fallen.
And the question, who's gonna be take the rule as "Sam Whitwicky" and "The autobots"?...
Meanwhile, when Nurdin halid hasn't fallen yet in Indonesia, he has fallen yet in Anfield Stadium. Take a look at the picture..

In Indonesia, a Scandal Over Soccer....
Published: March 3, 2011
JAKARTA — Chaotic street protests, bickering elites and swirling allegations of corruption — it all looks like another typically unsavory episode of politics in Indonesia. But the latest protracted fight to absorb the attention of one of the world’s largest democracies is not about politics as usual. It is about soccer. And it is all the more serious for it.

Indonesian Premier League Looks Like It’s Here to Stay..
Six weeks into the breakaway Indonesian Premier League and it shows no sign of going away despite the efforts of the game’s national governing body.
Indeed, attracting players like Lee Hendrie, Irfan Bachdim and Shahril Ishak suggests that players’ concerns about the league’s status are receding.

Bai and Shahril sign for IPL's Medan Chiefs...
Two Indonesian-based Singapore players - Baihakki Khaizan and Shahril Ishak (pictured below) had joined IPL (Indonesia Premier League) club Medan Chiefs following their release from ISL (Indonesia Super League) club Persib Bandung.
The fate of the both Singaporeans were in much speculation with a tweet message posted by Baihakki on 6th February had made it crystal clear for him, at least, that time is up for him in West Java.
The latest development of duo's fate was confirmed by the Sumatran side's German coach Jorg Steinebrunner.
"All I can tell you now is both Baihakki and Shahril had agreed terms with our club management recently." said the former Woodlands Wellington coach.
When asked if would it be a cause of concern for both Singapore stars for signing with Medan Chiefs, given the present status of the Sumatran club playing in a non-PSSI (Indonesian FA) sanctioned tournament, which is not in line with the FIFA regulations.
"So far no action has been taken against those involved in the IPL, despite what was reported the media in recent days" opined Steinebrunner (file pictured above) over reports that FIFA and PSSI would mete out punishments to those involved in the IPL, which is yet to be sanctioned by the football authorities in Indonesia.
With the latest recruitment of the two former Young Lions stalwarts,, the Medan club will see the number of former S.League players on its list increased to five.
Following the path of coach Steinebrunner to the IPL club were the likes of former Rams in Luis Eduardo Hicks, Laakkad Abdelhadi and former Etoile midfielder Kevin Yann.

Let's change the game...
When we are talking about football, we can talk about fairplay, togetherness and sportivity. But none of them we can find it in Indonesia football league, so much unfairness and vandalism have happened in the pitch. When the PSSI (Indonesia FA) decided to choose Mr.Nurdin Halid for the second period many people have arguing about that. No one championship tittle to win since he take the rule in PSSI, beside the Independence Cup (the chaos in tournament base on the walk out action from the finalist opponent from Libyan National team).
While in the pitch, become the real fact of the failure of PSSI to organize the national football. We can watch professional football doing karate and wrestling in the football pitch only in football league whom organized by the PSSI. Last season ,PKT's player , Jumadi Abdi had lost his life due to the karate action from Persela's player. While couple weeks ago, Pavel Solomin has broken legs due to the bad tackle from the Pelita's goalie. That is to much and we should change it.
Can we?

more foreign player in the national squad
The success from Cristian "El loco" Gonzales in the national team has brought the second change to the foreign player with European descent to use the jersey of the Indonesian national team. The latest news come from three youngster: Arthur Irawan, James Zaidan Saragih, and Andreas Bitar. Arthur is pure Indonesian who play for amateur club in England (Lytham Town) and James is an Indo-American who plays for New York Cosmos (MLS). While Andrea Bittar is pure foreigner, because his parents has been living for more than 15 years, so he initiate to attempt the national team qualification. Andrea plays for FC Cannes. I don't really sure where is the club located.
The decision to choose the player base in the head coach's rule. I hope the PSSI do not make any intervention at all.

Indonesia Premier Leagu, new hope for the better future of football in Indonesia
It has been two weeks ago since the day i wrote about the final of AFF Cup. The sadness and happiness were mixed at the same time. I'm very sad because this is the fourth times to make a final without any trophy, and I'm happy because all the supporters with different background and different club were gathering in one stadium to support the national team. This euphoria was similar with the matches in Asian Cup 2007. The players showed their skills and fully motivated to win the game. But the performances was reaching what we called as anticlimax, loose in one game made we failed to get the first trophy.
Due to the error of football competition and organization, a group of people make a breakaway league named Indonesia Premier League. PSSI (The Indonesian FA) has never learn about the mistake and failure, including to organize a football league.
IPL or LPI is a new football league of Indonesia that is inspired by a businessman, named Arifin Panogoro. He and group of people make this league based on the decision of KSN in Malang, few months ago.
In this league, the capital, professionalism, and fair play become the major concern from the organizer. The organizer decide not to use the Local Budged (APBD). It is also make a plan for the football industry as the long term plan.
Welcome LPI ,together we change the game .
